The magic of our sound bath lies in the frequencies emitted by the crystal singing bowls. These frequencies gently enter your brain, encouraging your brain waves to transition into slower wavelengths known as theta waves. Theta waves are typically experienced just before falling asleep, where you feel ultra-relaxed while remaining awake, aware, and conscious. This state of deep relaxation allows you to release tension, quiet the mind, and experience a profound sense of tranquility.

We understand that reaching this state might be a new and challenging experience for some. Rest assured that sound bath meditation is a practice, and with time and practice, it becomes easier to embrace the calming effects of the session. Our inviting environment encourages you to welcome any challenges that may arise during the practice and simply allow yourself to be in the moment.

Whether you're new to meditation//sound baths or you practice meditation all the time, our sessions offer a grounding and relaxing experience that can benefit both your mind and body. Whats the difference between beginner’s class and regular sound bath class?

If you are new to sound bath meditation’s//meditation practices in general, we require you to take the beginner’s class. Beginner’s class consists of a more in depth explanation of what a sound bath is and what to expect during the practice, followed by a 45 minute sound bath. Our regular sound bath classes focus on different themes each week, furthering your mindfulness practice without the intro explanation. This allows clients to learn more ways to help regulate their nervous systems day to day, not just in class. Regular classes consist of 60 minute sound baths.

how often should i go to sound bath?

2+ sessions per month are recommended. However, if you are experiencing emotional, physical or mental challenges that need to be addressed, then weekly sessions are better. Also, if you are just starting out, then go for 4 sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Many of our clients choose to attend a session every week as a midweek recharge & reset.

It’s best if you have regular sessions rather than occasional ones. That’s because regular sessions offer more long-term benefits.

Will it make me feel weird?

Some clients may be discouraged or confused when anxiety, anger, grief, shame, and terror become present during a sound bath session. Although this is uncomfortable, we reassure our clients that their nervous system is beginning to experience safety in healing. Suppressed feelings, sensations and emotions of the body and the mind will make their way to the present. This is because your nervous system believes that you have the safety, support, tools and capacity to finally face and process what you’ve been avoiding. The body needs to feel in order to heal. If you ever feel overwhelmed and need a moment you are always welcome to quietly excuse yourself and head to the bathroom across the hall. Know that anything you feel during a sound bath session is completely normal and encouraged, you are in a safe place.

Is there any research on sound bath mediations?

Yes! We highly recommend doing your own research, here are some of our favorite links:

If you examine our cellular makeup under a microscope, every single particle of our physical body is vibrating at varying frequencies. At a physical energetic and cellular level, sound healing can restore our vibration to a state of harmony. A recent study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that hour-long sound meditations help to reduce tension, anger, and anxiety, and increase spiritual well-being.

There has also been much fascinating research into the effects of sound meditation on the brain, particularly binaural beats in the treatment of anxiety, depression and sleep disorders. Binaural beats are when two different sounds are played in each ear which the brain integrates. A process known as ‘entrainment’ synchronizes our brainwaves and provides a stable frequency that produces a hypnotic, trance-like rhythm. It drops us into deeper, slower brainwave patterns, providing a vehicle for us to access our deeper brainwave states, promoting deep meditation and eliciting the body’s natural healing capacity. These slower brainwaves are called Theta waves and during each sound bath we attempt to “drop into theta”.
